NCOLCTL/ALTA Conference Hotel Booking

Our group rates and benefits will differ from the standard rates seen on the general hotel website. This is why you must ensure that when booking your rooms you must use the group code so that you are placed on the NCOLCTL Conference list and receive the correct rates.

• - Refundable Policy​: Individual reservations must be cancelled at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to day of arrival or one (1) night’s lodging plus tax will be charged to the guest.

Cancellation Policy: We have a 24 hour cancelation policy where any reservation must be canceled by 6:00pm the day before arrival. Credit Cards will be authorized after 6:00pm the day before your arrival to guarantee your reservation.

Upon arrival, you will be asked to provide a valid Credit Card or Debit Card and proof of I.D. We do not accept cash at check-in and guest must be 21 years old or older to check-in. Pre-paid and temporary cards are not permitted and will result in your reservation being canceled or resold. All funds will be held on the Credit Card or Debit Card provided during check-in until up to 10 days post your departure. Cash can only be accepted at checkout.

Crown Plaza 2875 N Milwaukee Ave Northbrook, Illinois is a 100% non-smoking hotel. A $250.00 fine will be applied if a guests smokes in the room/balcony and guest will have to vacate the property immediately.

Only personnel who booked reservation(s) can make changes and cancelations.  

Why Book in the NCOLCTL/ALTA Block?

Room rates offered for the NCOLCTL/ALTA Convention are very competitive. We encourage you to utilize NCOLCTL/ALTA’s room block. Booking rooms outside the block can hurt NCOLCTL/ALTA financially. NCOLCTL/ALTA's sets aside room blocks in hotels to guarantee that attendees will have a room available during the Convention.

Room blocks also guarantee to the host city that several thousand of their hotel rooms will be booked. If NCOLCTL/ALTA doesn’t fill its room block commitment, there are severe financial penalties. Reduced room reservations give NCOLCTL/ALTAless bargaining power for future years and also increase the cost for the rental of the convention center and meeting space at the headquarter hotel.These penalties ultimately could be passed on to attendees through increased registration fees as well as room rates.

Some of the online discount sites are not as accommodating, charging additional fees or charging for days you will no longer be staying at the hotel. As long as you cancel within 72 hours prior to arrival, you will not be charged one night’s room and tax by your confirmed hotel. Avoid the scammers. If you book online through NCOLCTL/ALTA, you will avoid being scammed by a company promising things they cannot deliver.
