Self-Efficacy for LCTL Teachers

Summary: This workshop will help teachers understand the four factors that build self-efficacy in foreign language learning. We will illustrate various ways to apply these principles with examples from Arabic, Chinese, French, Persian, and Turkish language programs. The workshop will have a decided pragmatic focus, giving participants a good feel for each principle then giving them ample opportunity to outline their own ideas for practically applying the principle in their own language program with a high degree of interaction with other participants (brain-storming) as well as generous amounts of expert feedback on their ideas.
